FIRE! Oregon festival of music and people

29 07 2008

Fire is a festival of electronic music. This was the 10 year anniversary of the festival with 7 stages of DJs and live preformers. There was about 1200 people there throughout the 2 nights I was there.

4th of July fun on the river

9 07 2008

We all went out on Andy’s boat for the 4th of July, great times all around! On the first run we went down and anchored at the Portland Oregon Safeway Waterfront Blues festival. There was some great music that was clearly heard from the water. From there we went back to Jantzen Beach to freshen up for a while. At about 9pm we headed out again for the fireworks at Fort Vancouver Washington. Watching the fireworks from the middle of the river was a great experience.

A trip to Ridgefield Washington wildlife refuge.

21 06 2008

Julie and I took a trip to the Ridgefield Washington wildlife refuge. Incase you do not know where Ridgefield is… its about 30 minutes north of Vancouver Washington right off of I5. It is a very beautifull 5000 acres of grassland, woodland, and marsh.

More photo booth time!

21 06 2008

These are some pictures of the three photo booth services I provided last weekend. This one was for Tessah’s graduation party just south of Roseburg oregon. (about 3.5 hours from Portland)

Everyone had a great time in the photo booth. As you can see from the pictures they made an onsite scrap book using the photo booth pictures. Very creative!

Last Thursday in Portland

2 06 2008

Last Thursday is a great place to see a lot of diversity packed into a small place. One of the only places in Portland that any artist can sell their art, food, houseware, or whatever for free, all on NE alberta street inbetween 10th and 30th.  There are many musical artists performing on the streets all over the alberta neighborhood. Here are a couple of the pictures I took.

Its photo booth time!

26 05 2008

Ever been to a mall with friends or family and used a photo booth to give you a strip of 4 pictures? Well I just bought one! Its SO much fun, Julie (my girlfriend) and I love having it in our house!

This is no ordinary photo booth, its a talking photo booth. “Studio Cutey” will talk you through the four pictures. Right now I am using my sister Katie’s voice. It says… “Hi! Im Studio Cutey, Lets take some pictures!”

The photo booth uses a high quality Canon digital camera and super high quality printer.  You can choose classic black and white or color prints. You can also add your custom text or logo to the bottom of the prints.

Photo booths are great for weddings, birthdays, or any special events. When the event is done, the host receives a CD with all the digital negatives from the photo booth session.

Here is a picture of my new photo booth “Studio Cutey”

How to make a glowing ice ball. :)

19 05 2008

Very cool video for instructions to make something a little different. (no sound needed)

How to make Glowing Ice!

Here is a picture of the finished product. One ice ball that glows from an LED inside. This is super simple to make and it only takes about 5 minutes. (other than freezing time) Give it a try, it is great for decorations and conversation at parties.
